The Timeline

Introduced to Pokemon while spending summers in Japan in the mid-late ‘90s.
Sold my first Pokemon cards on ebay in the early 2000s.
Started editing and posting (non-Pokemon) videos in the mid-late 2000s.
Played Pokemon Showdown and mainline games throughout the 2010s.
Made a variety of mostly-unsuccessful YouTube channels and podcasts from 2008-2019.
Started working in hypergrowth tech in 2015, scaling multiple businesses from startup to $1B+ valuations.
Rediscovered Pokemon cards early 2024 and got hooked.
Started uploading Buyer POV videos to YouTube as Oyama’s Trading in June 2024.
Spent tens of thousands on cards before recognizing, “I can make this hobby fund itself.”
Grew it through passion and obsession to a $10k+/mo profit side hustle while working a 9-5.
Quit corporate to transition to full-time focus on the business in April 2026.
Now operating a 7-figure annual revenue business while actively collecting and enjoying life.

Replacing the classroom-focused Machamps Mentorship form factor is the return of the 1-hour, ad-hoc, 2:1 private consult.

Sessions are first-come-first-served, request-only, and client-driven in agenda (we can prompt or provide an ‘intake form’ - ultimately you’re bringing the questions and topics).

No bundles, no minimum committments, etc. Topics can be anything, but should generally focus on Pokemon TCG buy/sell/trade and/or content and social media.

Limited to ~2-3 total bookings per week due to bandwidth and availability.

Nothing discussed should be treated as professional financial advice. This is a 1-hour consultation focused on sharing experience and opinions of two professionals who each scaled 7-figure annual revenue businesses in the niche. Specific results or outcomes aren’t guaranteed.
